Juventus Women Shine on the International Stage: A Recap of Tuesday’s Matches

On Tuesday, October 28, several players from the Juventus Women’s First Team took center stage, representing their countries in a mix of competitive and friendly matches.

Denmark continued their impressive run in the UEFA Women’s Nations League, following up on their recent 6-1 triumph over Finland with another decisive victory, this time clinching a 2-0 win in the semi-finals. Bianconere forward Amalie Vangsgaard played a crucial role, contributing 72 minutes of action on the pitch.

In another competitive clash, France, with Juventus goalkeeper Pauline Peyraud-Magnin, battled to a 2-2 draw against Germany after suffering a defeat in their previous encounter.

Meanwhile, Mathilde Harviken shone for Norway, starting in their friendly against Japan, which ended in a solid 2-0 win. On a less favorable note for Italy, a squad featuring several Bianconere players fell 1-0 to Brazil in Parma. Martina Lenzini, Cecilia Salvai, and Eva Schatzer took the field from the start, while Chiara Beccari, Cristiana Girelli, and Barbara Bonansea made impactful appearances from the bench.

Adding to the excitement, Switzerland, led by Viola Calligaris and Lia Walti, edged out Scotland in a thrilling match that concluded with a 4-3 scoreline. Lastly, Danielle de Jong’s Netherlands claimed a narrow 1-0 victory over Canada, rounding off a busy day for Juventus players on the international stage.

As the dust settles, it’s clear that the Bianconere continue to make their mark on the global football scene, showcasing their talents and resilience in a variety of matchups.
