ReBuild Ukraine is paving the way for a brighter future, uniting those committed to meaningful investment in the nation’s recovery. The future we’re building together is not just hopeful; it’s worthy of every ounce of effort we put in.

In a significant move to bolster infrastructure, Denmark is investing in a transformative overhaul of the water supply system in Pervomaisk, Ukraine. This support comes in the form of a grant agreement with Impact Fund Denmark and Nefco.

With a budget of €4 million, this endeavor is part of Nefco’s Green Recovery Programme and aims to reconstruct 8.8 kilometers of underground pipeline. This upgrade will ensure that 35,000 residents, including 6,650 internally displaced people, have reliable access to clean drinking water.

The anticipated outcomes are promising:

  • • A reduction of 726 MWh annually in electricity consumption
  • • Savings of 1.2 million m³ of water per year
  • • A decrease of 581 tonnes per year in CO₂ emissions

Implementation is set to take place between December 2025 and December 2026.

This initiative underscores a vital truth: reconstruction transcends mere statistics and reports; it embodies tangible changes felt by communities. When international partners, local communities, and institutions join forces, we unlock solutions that transform cities into more sustainable, modern, and safer places to live.
