DMI warns of dangerous weather with thunder and hail in eastern Denmark

On Wednesday evening, Zealand and Funen, among others, may be hit by heavy rain, thunder and hail, according to the DMI forecast.

Wednesday may culminate with cloudbursts, hail and thunder in most of eastern Denmark.

In a warning, the Danish Meteorological Institute (DMI) warns of dangerous weather. The weather is expected to affect most of Funen, Langeland, Lolland, Falster and Zealand.

According to the forecast, DMI expects thunderstorms and local cloudbursts.

The showers may in some places include hail and strong gusts of wind, it says.

DMI has three levels of warnings, and a risk message, which is the level below the warnings.

The warning for Wednesday evening is a so-called category 2 warning, which means that you should be prepared that the weather may disrupt traffic and supplies, and that you should be extra careful outdoors.

According to DMI’s website, the warning is valid from 6 pm on Wednesday until 11 pm.

Wednesday could also end up being very hot – including for the many festival guests in Roskilde.

According to the meteorologist on duty, Thor Hartz, it is possible that the temperature during the day will reach between 32 and 34 degrees.

According to Politiken, the previous heat record at Roskilde Festival is 28.7 degrees.
