BRUSSELS, Dec 22 (Reuters) – Maintaining the territorial integrity and sovereignty of the Kingdom of Denmark, including Greenland, is of paramount importance, an EU spokesperson asserted on Monday. This statement reaffirms a longstanding position amidst discussions surrounding the recent U.S. appointment of a special envoy to Greenland.
“Preserving the territorial integrity of the Kingdom of Denmark, its sovereignty, and the sanctity of its borders is essential for the European Union,” spokesperson Anouar El Anouni emphasized during the address.
