In a concerning announcement, the Danish Veterinary and Food Administration has issued a recall for Knorr’s Sauce Champignon powder due to potential contamination with small pieces of metal and rubber.
According to the agency’s advisory, this product has been available in Netto stores nationwide since November 5.
The administration indicated that a production error at the factory led to the hazardous findings, stating, “Metal splinters in the product pose a potential health risk, as damage can occur in the mouth, throat, and gastrointestinal tract.”
Consumers can identify the affected gravy powder by its use-by date, which is set for April 2027.
In light of this risk, the Danish Veterinary and Food Administration strongly advises customers to either return the product to the place of purchase or dispose of it. Those who have already consumed the product and are experiencing any symptoms should seek guidance from their healthcare provider or contact an on-call doctor.
