Russian Attack in Kyiv Leaves Two Dead, Five Injured
In a tragic turn of events, a Russian assault on Ukraine’s capital, Kyiv, has resulted in the loss of two lives and left five individuals wounded. The grim update was shared by Kyiv’s mayor, Vitaly Klytchko, via the encrypted messaging platform Telegram.
“Two have died in the capital,” Klytchko reported. “Five people are injured. Paramedics treated three at the scene, while two others have been hospitalized.”
Meanwhile, Mykola Kalashnyk, the governor of the Kyiv region, is urging residents to stay indoors as air raid sirens continue to echo through the area.
On Thursday evening, Ukraine’s air force issued a nationwide alert, indicating that the entire country faces a missile threat and that Russian aircraft are active in the skies above.
In the western city of Lviv, mayor Andriy Sadovyj has confirmed that critical infrastructure has sustained damage in these attacks. “All relevant authorities are on-site, working to extinguish the fire,” he stated, emphasizing the urgency of the situation.
As the conflict escalates, the resilience of Ukrainian citizens continues to be tested in the face of ongoing threats.
