Man and woman found dead in Nørresundby

Two people in their 40s have died. They were found at a residence in a town in northern Jutland and knew each other.

A man and a woman were found dead in Nørresundby on Tuesday afternoon.

This is stated by the North Jutland Police in a press release.

Both deceased are in their 40s, and they had a relationship with each other, according to the police.

North Denmark Police received a report at 4:35 p.m. about a death at a residence in the city. When the police arrived at the address, they found the deceased.

“We have only been working at the scene for a few hours, and it is now our task to clarify the circumstances surrounding the deaths.”

“We do this work thoroughly. That’s why it takes time – and that’s why we will be visible in the area around the address for a longer period of time,” says Deputy Police Inspector Frank Olsen from North Jutland Police in a press release.

The police are therefore sparse with information at this time.

However, the citizens of the local area should not be afraid, it says.

“There is no danger to the average citizen in the area. You just have to follow our instructions if you are in the area where we work,” says Frank Olsen.

According to TV2 Nord, the area around the residence in Nørresundby is cordoned off.

The media reported earlier in the day that at least six police cars and officers in bulletproof vests were present in Nørresundby.

The next of kin of the deceased have been notified.
