On Saturday, Minnesota was shaken once again by a shooting involving federal agents, prompting a strong reaction from the state’s governor, Tim Walz.
“This morning, I spoke with the White House about yet another horrific incident involving federal agents. Minnesota has had enough. This is disgusting,” he expressed on the social platform X.
Authorities in Minneapolis confirmed they were aware of reports indicating that a man had been shot in the city. The incident reportedly occurred around West 26th Street and Nicollet Avenue.
“We are working to confirm further details and ask the public to remain calm and avoid the area,” the city officials advised.
Tensions have been escalating in Minneapolis since January 7, when an officer from the Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agency shot Renee Nicole Good, a community activist who had been volunteering with a local network dedicated to monitoring and documenting ICE operations.
As the situation continues to unfold, residents are left grappling with the implications of these violent encounters.
