She lost her citizenship: The ministry insisted on digging up the 28-year-old woman’s past
The Ministry of Immigration saw no reason to investigate the 28-year-old woman from Funen’s past. But the Ministry of Digitalisation did so under Caroline Stage (M).
It was the Ministry of Digitalization, with Caroline Stage (M) as minister, who insisted that a 28-year-old woman from Funen’s past be investigated. A 28-year-old woman from Funen was investigated and the authorities were able to strip the woman of the Danish citizenship she received in 2006 when she was adopted by a Danish man at the age of 9.
The Ministry of Immigration and Integration, which is responsible for the Citizenship Act and has the authority to interpret the law, did not believe that there was a need to investigate the Funen woman’s situation further.
