The deadline for applying for education has now expired, and once again the young people have proven impossible to manage.

The applications in quota 1 for higher education have been submitted. The figures show a continued decline in applications for the major welfare education programs.

The trend of recent years continues: Fewer people are applying to the large welfare-oriented education programs as nurses and more are applying to the four largest cities. This is despite the fact that politicians at Christiansborg have tried in many ways to get them further out into the country.

This is evident from this year’s applications for higher education, where the deadline expired on Saturday at 12 noon. A total of 85,508 have applied for admission this year. The number of applicants covers first-priority applications, and compared to last year there is a small increase of 356 applicants. In 2022, the number was the lowest in years with 79,737 applicants.
