Two men have been charged with murder in connection with the discovery of the body of a 71-year-old woman in Esbjerg, police say.

Two men have been arrested and charged with murder in connection with the discovery of a deceased 71-year-old woman in Esbjerg, according to the South and South Jutland Police on X.

It is said that these are two men, aged 55 and 84, both from the local area.

Earlier Tuesday, the police district announced that it was investigating a suspicious death on Kingosvej in Esbjerg.

It is in connection with that death that the two men are charged with murder.

The woman’s relatives have been notified.

“The investigation continues, and there is a lot of work ahead of us to clarify the details,” the police said on X.

In connection with the investigation, the police will be present at three addresses for several hours.

This concerns the address on Kingosvej, where the woman was found dead, as well as a golf course in Varde and an address in Vejers

There is no danger to others, the police district says.

Shortly before noon, the police announced on X that they were present on Kingosvej to investigate a suspicious situation.

JydskeVestkysten and TV Syd have written in this connection that the road is closed at both ends.

Varde Golf Club is located about 17 kilometers north of Kingosvej in Esbjerg, where the woman was found dead.

The office manager at Varde Golf Club tells TV Syd that a person was arrested on the golf course on Tuesday.

About 27 kilometers northwest of Kingosvej in Esbjerg lies the town of Vejers on the North Sea.
