MIES (Switzerland) – In an exciting development for basketball enthusiasts, FIBA has entrusted SPORT LIVE with exclusive broadcast rights in Denmark for the upcoming FIBA Basketball World Cup 2027 Qualifiers.

Established in 2019 within the F3 Media Group A/S, which boasts over 15 years of experience in sports marketing in Denmark, SPORT LIVE is well-positioned to bring fans comprehensive coverage across various sports. This partnership unlocks an exhilarating opportunity for basketball supporters to closely follow the national team’s games, both at home and on the road, as Denmark embarks on its journey toward a sought-after spot at the illustrious FIBA Basketball World Cup 2027 in Doha.

Having successfully navigated the Pre-Qualifiers, Denmark faces six thrilling matchups in the initial three designated windows of the Qualifiers, scheduled for November 2025, February-March 2026, and July 2026. The team kicks off its campaign at home on November 27, taking on a formidable opponent—Spain.

In a deal orchestrated by FIBA Media in partnership with DAZN, SPORT LIVE will serve as the host broadcaster for all of Denmark’s home games. This agreement is expected not only to enhance the visibility of the sport in Denmark but also to foster a deeper connection between the game and its supporters.

Frank Leenders, Director General of FIBA Media and Marketing Services, expressed his excitement about the new partnership: “We are thrilled to announce this exclusive broadcast agreement with SPORT LIVE for the upcoming FIBA Basketball World Cup 2027 Qualifiers. Danish fans can look forward to watching and cheering for their national team in an elite international competition that promises unforgettable moments. By showcasing the national team on SPORT LIVE, we aim to promote basketball in Denmark and inspire the next generation of fans.”

Flemming Kjellerup, CEO of SPORT LIVE, added: “We are delighted to deepen our commitment to Danish basketball, which complements our extensive coverage of league and cup matches. The men’s national team has shown tremendous passion and skill in recent years, arguably showcasing the best talent in Denmark’s basketball history. We are eager to serve as the host broadcaster for Denmark’s home games and to present all six of their FIBA World Cup 2027 Qualifiers exclusively to SPORT LIVE viewers.”

With anticipation building, the official World Cup Qualifiers app is now available, allowing fans to stay connected and fully engaged with every thrilling moment on Denmark’s path to the World Cup.
