A forward for the Henderson Silver Knights is set to don the colors of Denmark at the 2026 Winter Olympics, bringing notable recognition to both Las Vegas and his homeland.

Jonas Rondbjerg, part of the Vegas Golden Knights organization since 2017, earned his spot on the Danish Olympic hockey team last summer. For Rondbjerg, this achievement holds great significance, particularly given Denmark’s traditional preference for soccer over ice hockey.

“Qualifying last summer was a monumental moment for our nation, and you could really feel a surge of support for hockey during that time,” Rondbjerg shared. “It was inspiring to see my country rally around the sport, especially because hockey doesn’t usually take center stage in Denmark.”

Having spent five years in Las Vegas, Rondbjerg has embraced the city and his role within the organization. “I love it here. This is my fifth year living in Las Vegas, and it’s a fantastic place to call home,” he said. “The organization is great, and I truly enjoy being a part of it.”

As he prepares for the Olympic Games, Rondbjerg is not only representing Denmark but also shining a spotlight on the growing enthusiasm for hockey back home.
