Golf: A Sport for Health, Connection, and Community

The newly forged partnership champions the vision of “Sport, Healthy & Social,” underscoring not only golf’s health benefits but also its inclusive and sociable nature.

– When most people think of golf, “Sport, Healthy & Social” may not immediately come to mind. However, golf stands out as one of the most inclusive and social sports globally—and it undoubtedly promotes physical well-being. While seasoned golfers understand this, our aim is to dismantle the myths and misconceptions that still linger. With REMA 1000, Uno-X Mobility, and 7-Eleven as our partners, we believe we can achieve this transformation, says Flemming Astrup, director of GolfPromote.

This collaboration will introduce exciting campaigns and events designed to attract fresh audiences and elevate awareness regarding golf’s multitude of benefits.

Aspirations for Golf’s Growth

At Reitan Retail, this partnership is viewed as a vital stepping stone to reinforce golf’s status in Denmark, further spreading awareness of its accessibility.

– Our aim is clear: we want to demonstrate that golf is a sport for all, capable of fostering personal growth and a sense of community. Through collective effort, we can not only enhance golf’s reputation in Denmark but also ensure its vitality in Norway, states Vidar Riseth, sponsor manager at Reitan Retail.

This initiative complements Uno-X Mobility’s NextUp project, which unites Norway’s top golf professionals with promising amateurs for training, experience sharing, and team-building. Uno-X Mobility will provide both funding and expertise, creating an encouraging environment for golfers in Norway.

A Collaboration Beyond the Golf Course

As part of this partnership, REMA 1000, Uno-X Mobility, and 7-Eleven will be actively involved in various tournaments and events, contributing initiatives that include:

  • Health campaigns promoting golf’s positive impact on both physical and mental well-being.
  • Social programs aimed at inviting diverse audiences into the golfing world and celebrating its community aspect.
  • More sustainable practices, centered around Uno-X Mobility’s electric chargers and REMA 1000’s commitment to responsible trade and healthy living.

This collaboration paves the way for a reimagined era in both Danish and Norwegian golf, where the sport’s core values will guide its future development.

Endorsed by the DP World Tour

– Such initiatives play a vital role in the evolution of golf, making the sport more accessible to a broader audience. Golf has an exceptional capacity to unite individuals, and partnerships like these serve to illuminate its many benefits, says Ben Cowen, Chief Tournament & Operations Officer of the DP World Tour.

– Collaborations of this nature will help position golf as a rewarding leisure activity that offers significant health advantages, both physically and mentally. We eagerly anticipate how this partnership will engage new audiences in Denmark and showcase the myriad positive effects golf can have, remarks Andrew Murray, Chief Medical & Scientific Officer at the European Tour Group.
