Artificial intelligence will help pastors with sermons
Many priests already use artificial intelligence, but new tool is more tailored, association says.
When priests need to write texts for church services and funerals in the future, they can get digital help without opening a Bible or a hymnal.
The Danish Clergy Association has launched a new digital tool that uses artificial intelligence to write texts for priests.
This is what Kristeligt Dagblad writes.
“It is up to the individual priest how they want to use it. But it is primarily intended as a tool for dialogue, where the priest can get inspiration to write sermons, church letters or teaching material.”
“The tool draws on the countless written sermon guides that we have prepared over the past 20 years,” says Lars Qvistgaard, director of the Danish Pastoral Association, to Kristeligt Dagblad.
Many priests already use artificial intelligence in their work, says the director. But the new tool is more targeted at the work of Danish priests trained in Lutheran theology.
Clerks can choose between three different robots when they want to use the Danish Clergy Association’s new tool.
You can also get the robots to change the language in texts that priests have already written, writes Kristeligt Dagblad.
The Danish Priests’ Association continues to encourage priests to read the texts carefully, as errors may creep into the texts.
Vicar Rasmus Nøjgaard tells Kristeligt Dagblad that he is not impressed with the new digital tool.
It’s too impersonal and clichéd, he believes.
