On Sunday evening, a perpetrator shot at a kiosk in Nørrebro. A 16-year-old boy was arrested on Thursday evening.

The police have arrested a 16-year-old boy as a suspect in a shooting Sunday evening at a kiosk in Nørrebro in Copenhagen.

This was announced by the Copenhagen Police on Friday.

The boy was remanded in custody by a judge in the Copenhagen City Court on Friday afternoon.

“The 16-year-old has been remanded in custody until July 21st in accordance with the request of the attending prosecutor,” the police wrote on the social media X.

It is not clear how the boy is involved in the case, or what the charges are.

The police received the report of the shooting on Sunday evening at 9:24 p.m.

The perpetrator was masked, wearing all black clothing and was riding a bicycle when he fired the shots.

“When we arrived at the scene, we found that there was at least one bullet hole in the facade, so we are in the process of doing some technical examinations and witness statements,” said Chief of Police Anders Frederiksen from Copenhagen Police on Monday night.

He further stated that it immediately appeared that the perpetrator simply intended to shoot at the facade and not specifically shoot at a person.
