Jaipur: The Rajasthan Cricket Association (RCA) is poised to embark on an exciting journey towards international collaboration at the grassroots level. Following a productive meeting with Danish Ambassador Rasmus Abildgaard Kristensen on Tuesday, plans are afoot for a player exchange program and friendly cricket matches with Denmark.
Ambassador Kristensen expressed his enthusiasm for the initiative, announcing that he would formally present the proposal to the Danish Cricket Association. “We discussed the potential for an exchange of players between the Danish and Rajasthan cricket teams. I will return to Denmark to engage further with the Danish Cricket Association, and I hope we can formalize this agreement soon,” he shared with IANS.
RCA official Ashish Tiwary reflected on the encouraging conversations with the Danish delegation, noting that this cooperation could lay the groundwork for long-term advancements in cricket. “The discussions were very positive, and their commitment to fostering the sport in Rajasthan is truly inspiring. They are eager to collaborate in growing cricket further,” Tiwary told reporters.
A standout feature of the proposed collaboration is a structured exchange program targeting young cricketers from both regions. “As part of this initiative, our youth will travel to Denmark, while young players from Denmark will visit Rajasthan. This could be a historic first for cricket in India,” Tiwary remarked.
He further confirmed that both parties have reached a preliminary agreement to organize a friendly cricket series between Rajasthan and Denmark, having established a mutual understanding during their talks. “The discussions have laid a strong foundation, and His Excellency takes this initiative very seriously. We are optimistic about moving forward soon,” he added.
