A Milestone Day for Denmark’s Culinary Scene
February 17 proved to be a momentous occasion for chefs across Denmark, many of whom have tirelessly dedicated themselves to achieving—or maintaining—prestigious Michelin recognition. For us, one burning question lingered in the air: would Alchemist earn a star, perhaps even two? On a personal note, we were eagerly hoping for Jordnær to receive another star. Their culinary journey has been remarkable, and our visit last January left us with an impression worthy of two stars.
This year, Michelin introduced an exciting new sustainability symbol: the Green Clover. This initiative aims to honor restaurants committed to sustainable gastronomy, with all establishments boasting a Plate, Bib Gourmand, or one to three Michelin stars becoming eligible for this notable distinction.
