On Sunday, the police stopped a man who stole a Hjem-Is van in Brønshøj when the driver looked away.
A man briefly stole a Hjem-Is van in Brønshøj in Copenhagen on Sunday at noon.
This is what Chief of Police Henrik Stormer from the Copenhagen Police tells B.T.
“While the Home Ice Cream Man turned his back, someone jumped in and sped away in the car,” the duty officer tells the newspaper.
A car chase then ensued, after which the police stopped the car. At first, the thief tried to run, but he was stopped and arrested.
The police inform Ritzau that the arrested man is 21 years old. He is charged with theft.
