Forecast predicts big victory for the Unity Party. Yet election researcher names someone else as favorite for mayor

A professor’s election forecast predicts new gains for the Unity Party in Copenhagen, but the SF may still have the best cards in hand. The People’s Socialists’ lead candidate is being urged to come out of the bush.

The election campaign in Copenhagen has been dominated by the two old party colleagues – the Social Democrats’ Pernille Rosenkrantz-Theil and the Unity Party’s Line Barfod – in the battle over who will become mayor after the municipal elections in November.

But it is a third candidate who is currently the favorite to take on the mayor’s mantle. This is the assessment of election researcher and professor of political science at the University of Copenhagen, Kasper Møller Hansen.
