Traffic drivers report that there are queues on and over the Øresund Bridge in connection with the half marathon.

Travel time has been extended by up to an hour across the Øresund Bridge in connection with the half-marathon Broløbet over the bridge.

This is stated in the Danish Road Directorate’s traffic information at around 1:30 p.m.

According to DR P4 Traffic, the queue begins before exit 18 at Tårnby.

“We are now receiving several reports from road users who say that traffic on the bridge has more or less collapsed. There is massive traffic jams on and over,” writes P4 Trafik at 12.40.

It is also reported that road users have been on the bridge for one and a half to two hours.

There is also a queue on the other side. On the Swedish side, there is a queue towards the bridge’s toll booth.

The 2025 Bridge Race will be held in connection with the Øresund Bridge’s 25th birthday.

From 10 am on Sunday, the half marathon, which extends over the bridge, began, which is why it was already announced before Sunday that traffic would be affected.

The bridge is open during the race, but operates at a reduced speed and generally extended travel time.

Until 1:30 p.m., traffic in the bridge tunnel is one-way. The direction changes every 15 minutes.

From 1:30 p.m. to 5:00 p.m., one lane will be open to cars in both directions.
