Police seize bus after hitting lamppost and pedestrian

In April, a bus in Tønder was involved in an accident. The driver was charged with reckless driving, and the bus was seized.

Back in April, a bus in Tønder first hit a lamppost and then a pedestrian and a scooter.

The police were called, and a patrol determined that the driver’s blood alcohol level was too high.

The driver, who had a blood alcohol level of over 2.00, was charged with reckless driving, and in June the bus was seized for confiscation.

This is what the South and South Jutland Police write in a press release.

The incident took place on April 22, and on June 16, the Court in Sønderborg issued an order allowing the seizure.

When there is suspicion of reckless driving, the police can seize the vehicle. If the court subsequently decides that the vehicle should be confiscated, it belongs to the state and can be sold at auction.
