There are no reports of injuries after a man shot at a kiosk in Nørrebro.

On Sunday evening, a man fired shots at a kiosk on Sankt Hans Gade in Nørrebro in Copenhagen, Anders Frederiksen, head of the Copenhagen Police, told Ritzau.

The man was masked, wearing all black clothing and was riding a bicycle when he fired shots. The police received the report at 9:24 p.m., the chief of police said.

“When we get to the scene, we can see that there is at least one bullet hole in the facade, so we are in the process of doing some technical investigations and witness statements,” he says.

The police cannot say whether there were people inside the kiosk, but there are no reports of injuries.

“It immediately seems as if the intention was simply to shoot at the facade and not specifically shoot at a person,” says Anders Frederiksen.

There is no danger to people in the area, he emphasizes. The police have not yet arrested anyone in the case.

In connection with the investigation, the police have blocked off parts of Ravnsborggade, Ryesgade and Sankt Hans Gade. The police expect to be at the scene “for quite some time yet”.
