A car and a train have collided at a railway crossing in Southern Jutland. One person has died.

One person has died after a train and a passenger car collided at a railway crossing near Kliplev in Southern Jutland on Saturday.

This is what the South and South Jutland Police write on the X platform.

The police are present on Kådnervej near Kliplev, which is located south of Aabenraa, together with the rescue services.

The police cannot provide further details about the accident, according to the post, which was shared at 7:53 p.m.

The relatives have been notified.

DSB informs TV 2 that the accident occurred at 6:57 p.m. between the passenger car and an InterCityLyn train, which was on its way to Sønderborg from Copenhagen.

There were 60 passengers on board the train.

DSB has sent personnel to the accident site to provide assistance to both customers and employees. The Accident Investigation Board has been informed.

Due to the accident, there are no trains running between Tinglev and Gråsten. Train buses have been deployed, DSB states on its website.
