Surprised yet with a hint of irony, Dan Jørgensen reacted ten months ago when he unexpectedly found himself tasked with addressing Europe’s critical housing challenges, in addition to his role as EU Energy Commissioner. Making history as the first housing commissioner in the EU is no small feat, particularly in an area where housing policy is predominantly governed at the national level.
