Tyseer Denmark Enters NCAA Transfer Portal: A New Chapter for Penn State Wide Receiver
In a notable development for Penn State football, wide receiver Tyseer Denmark has officially entered the NCAA transfer portal, as reported by On3’s Pete Nakos. This move comes after two seasons spent with the Nittany Lions, during which Denmark made his mark, albeit subtly.
During his time in Happy Valley, Denmark participated in 12 games overall. The 2024 season saw him redshirt after playing in just four games, followed by a more active role this fall amid a significant coaching shake-up that resulted in the departure of James Franklin midway through the season.
Over his two years in the program, Denmark recorded four receptions totaling 45 yards and a touchdown, in addition to two rushing attempts for eight yards. While his contributions were limited, there’s potential for Denmark as a specialist; he managed three punt returns for 14 yards during his tenure.
Before joining Penn State, Denmark’s high school credentials were noteworthy. He was recognized as a three-star prospect and ranked as the No. 551 recruit in the 2024 class by the Rivals Industry Rankings. Specifically, he was cited as the No. 88 receiver in the nation and the No. 11 player from Pennsylvania, boasting an impressive background from the Philadelphia-based Imhotep Institute.
A standout at Imhotep Charter, Denmark served as a three-time team captain and earned MVP honors, leading his team to an undefeated 15-0 season and securing the Pennsylvania 5A state title during his senior year.
Increasing Portal Activity at Penn State
Denmark is not alone in his decision to leave. He is part of a wave of departures following the coaching transition to new head coach Matt Campbell.
In addition to Denmark, defensive lineman Randy Adirika has also entered the NCAA transfer portal, as reported by Nakos. Adirika, who saw action in two games during his true freshman season, did not record any tackles. A former three-star recruit from Miami Central (FL), he was ranked as the No. 634 player overall and the No. 63 defensive lineman in the 2025 recruiting cycle according to Rivals.
This influx of players entering the transfer portal signals a period of significant change for the Nittany Lions, one that fans and analysts alike will be watching closely.
This report also includes contributions from On3’s Grant Grubbs.
