Central and West Jutland Police arrested a man on Saturday night who is suspected of assaulting a child.
The police suspect a 19-year-old man of sexually assaulting a nine-year-old girl at the National Fair in Herning on Friday.
This is according to Chief of Police Anders Bøje Hansen at the Central and West Jutland Police.
The 19-year-old is charged with sexual intercourse other than intercourse.
According to the duty officer, the man took the girl into a bush. The girl was then allegedly groped and assaulted.
“She told her mother yesterday afternoon, and then we looked for him, and then we found him last night and arrested him,” it says.
The assault occurred sometime during Friday afternoon.
The 19-year-old will appear before a judge at the Viborg Court in a constitutional hearing on Saturday afternoon.
