71-year-old man dies after driving a sweeper into a ditch

The Danish Working Environment Authority has been notified of an accident in which a man died while driving a sweeper.

A 71-year-old man has been declared dead after he drove into a ditch in a sweeper in the town of Skjød north of Hammel on Tuesday afternoon.

This is according to Chief of Police Peter Tholstrup from the East Jutland Police, who received the report at 1:54 p.m.

The cause of the man’s death has not been determined, but according to the police, it is likely that the man fell ill while driving the sweeper.

“He died in the sweeper, which ended up in the ditch,” says the shift manager.

The man’s relatives have been notified of the death.

When he was at work, the Danish Working Environment Authority was called in to investigate the accident. A motor vehicle inspector was also called in, as it was a serious accident.
