After the Michelin award ceremony, it is clear that a total of 27 Danish restaurants have one Michelin star. Six are new.

Several Danish restaurants received their first Michelin star on Monday evening.

It has been presented at the Michelin Guide’s awarding of stars to restaurants in the Nordic region.

The presentation took place in Annebjerg Cultural Park in Odsherred.

A total of six Danish restaurants have received a Michelin star for the first time.

One of them is the restaurant Alimentum in Aalborg. It is not only Alimentum’s first Michelin star, but also Aalborg’s first ever.

Copenhagen has also received new Michelin stars. These include the restaurants Texture, Parsley Salon and Sushi Anaba, as well as Udtryk, which opened just five weeks ago.

Udtrøk was mentioned in advance as a bid for a new Danish star restaurant.

But because it opened only five weeks ago, there were doubts whether Michelin’s inspectors could make it past enough times.

A few times before, it has also gone from opening to stardom quickly.

In 2014, the restaurant Studio received a Michelin star just five months after opening.

The Samuel received a Michelin star in its first year of existence, 2021, just four months after opening.

The restaurant Pearl by Paul Proffitt in Kruså also received a Michelin star on Monday evening.

21 Danish restaurants previously had one Michelin star. They will all keep their star.

This means that a total of 27 restaurants in Denmark have one of the coveted stars.

One star means that it is a ‘really good restaurant in its category’, while two stars mean ‘worth a detour’, and three stars mean ‘worth traveling for’.

From zero to two stars in the Faroe Islands

Restaurant Paz in the Faroe Islands goes from zero to two Michelin stars.

The restaurant is headed by Poul Andrias Ziska, who was also behind the former Michelin restaurant Koks.

Koks had two stars, but closed last year.

Paz opened in the spring in Tórshavn.
