A woman sustained serious injuries from gunfire in Gørløse on Monday evening, according to reports from Nordsjælland’s Police.

Her husband has been apprehended and stands accused of attempting to take her life. Authorities received an emergency call about the incident at approximately 9:30 PM.

The woman, 51, is now hospitalized following the attack, while her husband, aged 57, faces a significant legal battle ahead.

On Tuesday, a judge in Hillerød will assess whether there are sufficient grounds to formally remand the man in custody.

Initial details from the constitutional hearing reveal that the woman was struck by shots fired from a shotgun, hitting her in the head and arm, as reported by sn.dk and eb.dk.

Although the husband denies any intention to kill his wife, specifics of his defense remain unclear, as the courtroom proceedings have been closed to the public.

The police confirmed the severity of the woman’s injuries, emphasizing the ongoing nature of this investigation.
